Monday Outlook 8-17-09

There is just one area of concern of note today and that will be over the nations heartland. The area impacted includes KS,CO,OK,IA,IL,MO and New Mexico. A slight risk for tornadoes exists in this area. Wind and hail threats will remain the norm in any of these storms. In the southeast Florida will be the focus for severe weather ans TS claudette has gone ashore. Heavy rains will also be a concern there. Heat remains a big problem as well so folks make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids and stay in a cool area.
