Monday Outlook 8-3-09

Here is today's severe weather outlook. There are only 2 areas of interest to track today. The first area will be over the midwest states in areas like MO,IL,IA,NE and Kansas. There is a slight risk for tornado activity in this area along with the common wind and hail threats. The second area to track will be over southwest Oregon. Only an elevated hail threat exists in the area. Elswhere the big story will continue to be the painful heat that continues to grip areas of the nation. For some areas its good for the summer months, for others however it can be rather annoying. Personally my most favorite season is winter but even then we get little or no snow.
