Tuesday Outlook 8-4-09

Here is today's severe weather outlook. Today there are once again 2 areas of interest of where severe weather may occur. The first area of interest is over the high plains states in areas like Nebraska,South Dakota and Wyoming. A slight risk for tornado development exists in this area. There is a chance that the tornado risk could be a higher percentile then is currently forecasted. The second area for possible development is going to be over the Ohio/Mississippi/MO Valley areas. A slight risk for tornado development will exist for that area as well. As always any of these storms are capable of producing wind and hail threats. The other big thing of notice will be the excessive heat that is occuring over the midwest and southern states. Folks are advised to drink plenty of water and stay in a cool place.
